Welcome! I decided to launch Valley Fit to share and guide the overall mind and body experience of training and racing in a caring, friendly, nonjudgmental and self-challenging environment so that athletes can excel with self-confidence in the sport of long distance running, sprinting and overall fitness (Balance, mobility, stability, endurance, strength and competitive performance training).

I’m a midwestern lady born and raised in Missouri and moved to Sunny Florida in 2001. I have taught elementary education for 15 years in 3 states but mostly in Florida.  All of my prior experience (before Valley Fit) in coaching was with high school athletes but I have ran competitively in high school, college and locally for a total 30 years.  I’ve experienced every stage of training (except professional) and I love it!

I have coached high school distance runners for 14 seasons.  5 of those 14 were Track and Field, the rest was Cross Country.  10 of the 14 seasons I am VERY proud to inform you have been with Ponte Vedra High School.  Go Sharks!

The Lady Sharks have been to District, Regional and State Finals multiple times under my training plans and guidance.  I have coached high school athletes and adults to Personal Records in their desired distances, which for me is a FUN and amazing accomplishment as the clients goals become my healthy obsession, however, the journey is where the real work is. 

Valley Fit was launched March 2018 and since then I have created thousands of strength training workouts for classes and personal training sessions. I hold a current Personal Trainer Certification and Group Fitness Instructor Certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I am constantly researching, reading and educating myself on new exercises and implementation (strength, stability and mobility) and how to lead a happy healthy lifestyle so that I can coach my clients to living a healthy strong happy life!

I hold respectful PR’s in all distances marathon and under.  My knowledge of coaching and training has been formed mostly from my own experiences.  I’m looking forward to coaching YOU so that you can have amazing training and running experiences too!
